I think I hit the final number of times I can say wedding, talk about it, explain every miniscule detail about it to my mom, my cousin, my hubby-to-be, caterers, florists and decorators in one week. I'm on a wedding overdose right about now.
I have been in such crapy mood last couple of days. My skin is horrible, spots, blemishes, all kinds of nasty things, I'm growing hair on my legs so I can get them waxed properly, my hair is in this psycho-not-so-chic stage...Everything is going wrong and bad an wrong...and bad!(at least I've been running and exercising...and eating crap..fml)
I want a day off. I want my best friend near (I am going to tell you all about her in another post, cuz she deserves your undivided attention). I just need a break from wedding shenanigans. I wanna read a book (every suggestion is more then welcome, except anything with wedding or any of it synonyms in the title), I wanna have a movie night with Mr. Mine, dinner...Or a SPA...Oh, what would I give for a day of pampering in a spa...Geez...Is that wrong? Am I being an ungrateful brat?
For all you brides to be, if you are reading this please tell me do you ever feel this way and how you handle your wedding OD.?
I will talk to You all soon. And it will finally be about some skin care products I've been liking lately and ,I think, are helping my skin-gone-wild situation I am dealing with.
As you might know I am hopefully ;) getting married next year, preferably next autumn. We'll see about that, cuz the time for renting a place for next autumn is running short. But he is to blame... (as written in a song: blame it on booze, gottchya feelin loose, blame it on a hubby, always...or sth like that :D)
For those lucky brides-to-be that have to think "only" about the wedding ceremony - I applaud you ladies for taking good care of yourself, eating right and exercising regularly.
I am not one of them. Irresponsible. -.- I need to get myself in shape and start living healthy, with right exercising routine and healthier way of eating. I would love to make it a lifestyle, not only a one time thing (or 10th time thing, which is the number of times I went dieting, at least). Feeling better and looking better for the price of moving more and eating a little different?? Sounds so much better than sitting more, eating whatever, feeling awful and looking the way that makes you feel even worse. Nope, I am not mentioning losing weight, cuz I feel it isn't about losing weight - it should only be a side effect of lifestyle change, and that is my goal.
And what is the better motivation to start changing your lifestyle than the picture in your head of yourself feeling good about your health, the way you look in your wedding dress, in your "honey moon outfits" or in your own skin "just" because you live right?!?
Today Im starting with my lifestyle transformation with baby steps. I singed up for zumba class on mondays, wednesdays and fridays. As I said I was on diet a lot of times, and I'm sick of feeling weak and hungry, without energy, with a lowered libido (yes, sex is one of the human activities I'd love to be willing to take part in regularly) and constantly thinking about food. I want to eat everything, carbs, fats and proteins, in right proportions, without having guilty conscious over a piece of chocolate or a cake I made (and I can make a mean cake).
Tips and tricks I have found to be super duper helpful in changing your lifestyle with a little tailwind in a form of stimulating your metabolism:
Water - Cheesy cliche´?! Urban mith? Nope. It wakes up your metabolism and kicks your fat into burning state. You can get all that for only 8 glasses per day :)
Coffee - the thing most of us love to start the day with also boosts your metabolism.. I <3 Coffee
Eat - jet another cliche´. Pretty simple: if you eat 5-6 healthy little meals per day your body never stops burning calories, but if you eat once to nothing a day your body starts a mutiny and slows down your metabolism
Workout - self explanatory. Tip: do your exercises in the morning to blast your body into: AWAKE and BURNING CALORIES
Plan - just to make things easier for yourself and so you can keep track of your great progress.
Now I know in which general direction I want to go. And I'm not forcing myself into it, I feel it i time. Hope You will share some of your tips and trick how to feel healthier or find some motivation in this post to start this healthy-feeling-good-n-sexy-not-have-to-stress-about-my-floppy-upper-arms or some similar journey with me.
So on Friday my boo was receiving a masters degree in economics. The day started hectic. First phone call of the day was him freaking out (yup we still don’t live together, still in an apartment-hunting-half-week-together-spending stage ) because he cannot find neither one of two ties he likes the most. They seem to be missing in action. Smells like crisis!!! 0.0
About a year ago we were going to his neighbours' wedding. Three days before "the day" I've asked him to show me what is he wearing to the wedding reception (cuz who doesn't like to see his man in a suite??? ;) ) And there it was: the ugliest tie I have ever seen.It was a poopy brown tie with silver and rusty orange curved lines. I' not sure that even sounds as terrible as it was.
I know You might expect for my first real blog to be about some girly, feminine stuff, but that day started with tie-panic so I decided to talk a bit about them, in case someone is having the same tie-panicky day. :)
Let me get You up to speed about neckties, or to be specific cravats. Cravats or neckties are supposed to be original Croatian "invention". It was invented in 17th century. It was the part of the Croatian national costume. Croatian mercenaries were in France doing their thang ;) and there were noticed by "fashion care providers" of Louis XIII. And after that the international success of necktie is history. (If you are more interested in neckties or cravats history You can read it here, the fabulous wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necktie )
Day after I met the creepy poopy tie I went to Croata, famous Croatian necktie brand and bought two beautiful ties. Croata is an exclusive Croatian necktie brand. Most of their ties are made of 100% silk exceptnecktieserieswhichhave silk strands enriched with a core of24karatgold or teflon fibres (and those are stain proof which is a dream of every man, including mine).
Croata Premium auHRum
Croata Clasicum with teflon finish
The design isunique, and eachpatternis made ina fewcolours, andin extremelysmall quantities (cuz nobody really wants to come to a business meeting or on a friend's wedding and see 25 sameties). They are beautiful and made with so much attention to the smallest details. No worries ladies, there is a great variety of female accessories available in Croata including scarfs and shawls, bags, wallets, etc...And they are all exceptional and of the highest quality.
Prices arereasonablebearing inmind thequality ofthe silkand design, ranging from 53€/69$ (400kn) up to 467€/605$. All in all, the prestigiousCroatian product.
On their website, http://www.croata.hr , You can find many additional information (including Style adviser, how to clean and maintain your neckties and many ways how to tie a necktie) and shop with international shopping (220 countries with DHL delivery system). He didn't find the ties but he, thankfully, didn't wear the poopy one. The ceremony was a success, he didn't trip over the robe. :) And all was well again.
It is me, Maria.I am a 25 year old girl with a lot on my mind and in need to share it with You.
I live in Croatia.Little Mediterranean/Balkan country with insanely beautiful nature.
Older out of two children, with a beautiful but crazy baby (21) brother, that still drives me insane. I'm a student, but I'm still not sure what I wanna be when I grow up.
I am interested in so many stuff I sometimes feel I must have multiple personalities.I am a non typical Capricorn.
Since this summer I am engaged. I am very happy to have found my soul mate.We are planning a wedding next autumn.
My obsession are makeup, skin care, crafts, books, movies, cooking, sewing..I tell you...there is so much of me all over the place.
I decided to start this blog because I want to share my thoughts, feelings and problems with You. Wanna talk to You about my obsessions, give You my opinions on makeup and skin care products I use, planning of the wedding, books I've read, and share random "sneak-into-my-diary" posts.
I would love to talk to You, read Your thoughts about anything and everything and maybe find my own way in this world with Your help.
